South Carolina teachers who have sex with students 16 and older could be sent to prison for up to five years under a bill that won initial approval Wednesday from state lawmakers. SC bill would drop legal age for tattoos

An 18-year-old could get a tattoo in South Carolina without parental approval under legislation advanced by lawmakers. State law currently requires tattoo artists to verify their customers are at least 21 years old. If they're 18, 19, or 20 years old, they need parental consent.
